It's clear that you had a lot of fun with this project. The doorway pictures make me think of a dream or a movie where the doorway leads to a new and mysterious world. The scene through the window is probably the most believable--until you notice the double window sill. If you cropped the inserted image slightly to remove the duplicate frame this would work even better in this picture. If you added some shadows to your puppies it would help reduce the "floating" effect you see in your latest addition.
I agree with Jen about the photos that look like a doorway leading into a mysterious world. I like how you played around with the colors. The different elements you brought in make these interesting to look at. It's almost like looking behind the dresser in "Chronicles of Narnia". I think it's evident that you used the tools well and the results are in these uploads, nice work!
Excellent work on these. It appears that you really enjoy this way of working with your photos. The advice that you have received from the other two, Jen and Ryan, is spot on. Keep working on these and try different things. Where you added the dogs to your landscape photo, double-click on the layer and add a drop shadow. You can change the direction and the density of the shadow and I would bet that you will find that that would make this image have a little more life. You have really started out on a great foot here, keep on walking.
You did a wonderful job and clearly you can see you had fun doing it. My favorite picture is the third one down where you used the window frame and added the mountains. Great Work this week :)
I love the doorways, I especially like the way you brought it to the edge of the tiles as opposed to the bottom of the doorway itself. By doing so it adds a bit of surrealism to the image.

ReplyDeleteThese are right out of a Hunter S Thompson novel. I love them. Totally trippy.
